Somali Chicken Tagine Recipe
Saida’s Kitchen family recipe for this quick-cook Somali Chicken Tagine will whisk you away to the sweet and tangy flavours of traditional Africa.
with our range of Tagine cooking sauces, made with love and a passion for East African flavours.
I’m Saida, the face behind the sauce, and my love for cooking began in Mogadishu, Somalia, where the kitchen was the heart of our home. Growing up, I was surrounded by two incredible cooks—my grandmothers—whose kitchens were alive with the scents of fragrant rice, spices, fresh tomatoes, and dried fruits. They taught me that food is more than just a meal; it’s a way to connect, nurture, and share love.
That love for East African cuisine stayed with me long after I arrived in London. My passion for cooking deepened when I sought to create safe, wholesome meals for my daughter, who had allergic reactions to some sauces I would make. It was this motivation, combined with my love of food, that inspired me to start my own business.
Every jar is a blend of my East African roots, life experiences, and travels—bottled with care and designed to bring people together. I’m committed to your well-being, taking pride in delivering high-quality, ethically sourced products that are suitable for all.
